Lucy Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Recently she has appeared as Liz Hurley in SHANE WARNE: THE MUSICAL, where she had “sharp comedic instinct” (Blue Curtains 2026), Joy in A NIGHT WITH THE VILLIANS, providing “a lush, smooth vocal tone that is simply a pleasure to hear” (Stage Whispers 2025), Monteen in PARADE & Jemilla in FIREBRINGER. Additional theatre credits include Malvolio in TWELTH NIGHT, a “crowd favourite” (Night Writes 2021), Ms Fleming in HEATHERS, Mrs Schroder in ANYONE CAN WHISTLE & Ensemble in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD where she was “a breath of fresh air” (Theatre Travels 2022).  

Lucy is also an emerging music director. Her recent credits include THE WIZARD OF OZ & SEUSSICAL, both produced by Stage School Australia.

Lucy relishes the opportunity to work on new Australian works. This year, they have developed FLIGHT! by Nicholas Hargraves and ANY MOMENT by Bradley McCaw, in which she “repeatedly commands attention” with a performance “so vividly internal”. (Stage Buzz Brisbane 2026). They have also been a collaborator for the Antipodes Winter Lab for 2023 , 2024 & 2026.

I am a passionate singing teacher, who is dedicated to helping students of all backgrounds discover and develop their unique voices.
For the past six years, my vocal studio has been a place where aspiring singers grow in skill and confidence.
I believes in a kind and supportive approach (as singing from the heart can be exposing enough!)
I guide each student toward their specific goals. Alumni of my vocal studio have received places in music theatre tertiary education, engaged in community theatre, have been booked for professional theatre, and gained the confidence to brave the stage for the very first time.

  • As a born and bred Melbournian, coffee is my joy and life source.

  • I identify as a “Cat Mum”, to my beautiful grey tabby Pepper. My camera roll is full of her, and I will volunteer to show you pictures at the smallest suggestion.

  • I am a very readable person. This makes me a great actor, but a terrible poker player. A great pretender, but a terrible liar.

  • I value honesty and loyalty above all else.

  • I’m an avid reader! In 2025 I read 40 books. This year I’m going for 50.

  • Japan is one of my favourite countries to travel to. My husband and I have been there 4 times so far.

  • I am obsessed with Mofusand (see plush toy to the right) - most of my t-shirts have these cute little kitties on them.

  • Certain foods become fixations for me. The current fixation is chocolate coconut water. Previous fixations have been Biscoff, Buldak ramen and protein powder (though I still hold these foods in high regard).

  • I love to unwind by watching trash reality TV. My favourite overall has to be Big Brother UK (trust me, it’s wild!). But special mentions also go to MAFS Au, FBOY Island, The Bachelor & RHOSLC.

  • If you are a part of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign - please invite me! I’ve been binging Dimension 20 and Critical Role for over a year and love it, though I’ve never played IRL.
